The four social media posts you should be creating every week

Jul 31, 2018

You know you should post across your social media platforms regularly – but what should you post? We recommend four types of posts for our not-for-profit and worthy cause clients – Education, Vision and Values, Conversation Starters and Brand and Products. Let’s touch on two now.

Education: Think about your organisation’s expertise. Social media platforms allow you to share some of this knowledge with your audience – but make sure they are short, snappy and informative. This could be a healthy eating or wellbeing tip, a link to an article relevant to your organisation or a video, such as this post from Livelighter.

Vision and Values: These posts should be inspiring and ultimately display the vision and values of your organisation – this could be a photo of your volunteers, a profile of a team member or a story about someone your worthy cause helps. The key here it to show, don’t tell. For example, we love this video of Scott from Scott’s Great Walk for Telethon, which explains why he is driven to do what he does. Great work Scott!

Mix and match these post types throughout your social media schedule and your organisation’s feed will be varied, informative, fun and engaging.
