If you got hit by a bus tomorrow… 🚌

A few weeks ago, I was working with a nonprofit team who felt totally stuck with their marketing.

They’d tried everything—new content, new platforms, even hiring a freelancer.

Nothing was working.

When I asked to see their strategy, they all looked at the communications manager.

She looked back at them… and said, “Well… it’s sort of in my head.”

There it was.
The problem wasn’t effort.
It was the fact that no one was rowing in the same direction—because no one knew where they were heading.

Here’s the truth most nonprofits don’t want to hear:
If your strategy lives in your brain (or in a folder that hasn’t been opened in 6 months), it might as well not exist.

Because when the whole team is guessing? You end up with:

  • Random, disconnected content

  • Missed opportunities

  • And a whole lot of stress when someone’s on leave and no one knows what to do

You don’t always need a 40-page brand document. But you do need something your team can actually see, follow and work from.

A 1-3 page plan.
Clear themes.
A few reusable templates.
A rhythm that works for your org.

If your content feels chaotic right now, it might not be the execution. It might be that the strategy is still a secret.

You can change that.
